Tom Pitner
As an award-winning educator and community activist, Fugen Tom Pitner enjoys fulfilling his life’s mission of bringing forth Awakening in this world. Over the past 20 years, he has built an executive coaching and consulting practice, specializing in leadership development, conflict management and facilitation skills. He is certified as a Shadow Work coach, as a full leader in the Mankind Project, and as an interpreter of the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument. He holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies and has taught several courses in interpersonal communication at the University level. Most recently, he has become an ordained priest in the Hollow Bones Order and is now the teaching Sensei at the Birchwood Road Zendo in White Plains, NY. Together with his wife Rysa and infant daughter Rylee, Fugen is exploring the balance of evolving the five training elements of his Zen practice into the conventional everyday world. He was ordained in November of 2002.
