Stan Koehler
Stan Koehler, MA, was ordained as a Zen Priest with the dharma name Hui Neng by Jun Po Dennis Kelly in 2004. He works as Executive Director of "Peace on the Street," a non-profit school, providing martial arts and meditation programs in Spanish Harlem. Stan has been teaching meditation since 1991, focusing on the inner city neighborhoods and incarcerated individuals. Living and owning property in the neighborhood, Stan works with the "East Harlem Asthma Working Group" as well as other community agencies. As a member of the "Foundation for Religious Freedom" Stan also volunteers as a family reconciliation counselor and co-authored the book, The Cult Around the Corner.
