Kathy Navis
Vahita Ma- Kathy Navis owns and operates Junction Center for Yoga & Zen in Jacksonport, WI where she is the main yoga instructor and leader of the weekly zen meditations. Kathy has been practicing yoga for more than 25 years and her personal practice expanded to also sharing yoga with others in 2000 when Kathleen Kelly Hoffman, her teacher and friend, decided to stop making the hour long drive to teach in Kathy's area. She purchased a lovely little farm in 2000 and opened Junction Center Yoga studio in the barn in 2001. She did her first teacher training in Santa Barbara at the White Lotus Foundation in 2000 and has continued to study with Tracey Rich and Ganga White as well as with Ranjani Cobo, and Kathleen Kelly Hoffman.
 Kathy's devotion to the Zen practice began in 1995 when she attended her first 3-day meditation retreat with Jun Po Denis Kelly in Green Bay, WI and since that time she has participated in 2- 5 or 7 day retreats per year. She was one of the initial members of Wisconsin's Green Tara Sangha and knew by the end of that first 3 day retreat that she had found her home and her family in this group which is now called Hollow Bones.
Kathy also owns a shop in Egg Harbor, WI called "Path" where they sell "tools for transformation" such as yoga and meditation supplies, books, cds, incense, etc.
Kathy has a BS in Environmental Design and prior to opening the yoga studio in 2001 was in importing and retail for many years. Besides Yoga and Zen Kathy's other passions are photography, traveling, sailing. She also owns some commercial rental property and going back to her roots as a farm girl loves to dig in the dirt.
